Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp Green Chile Infused Olive Oil
  • 1 Large Vidalia Onion, thinly sliced
  • 1.5 lbs Ground Beef
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 tsp Tomato Paste
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Sweet Smoked Chili Rub & Seasoning
  • 1 tsp Chili Verde Flake Sea Salt
  • 4-6 Hamburger Buns, to serve
  • 4-6 Slices Havarti Cheese
  • 4-5 Butter Lettuce Leaves
  • ½ cup Red Pepper Jam
  • 2 Large Sweet Potatoes
  • 2 Tbsp Green Chile Infused Olive Oil
  • 2 tsp Sweet Smoked Chili Rub & Seasoning
  • ½ tsp Chili Verde Flake Sea Salt
  • ¼ Fresh Lime, juiced

Directions

  1. In a medium skillet over medium low heat make your caramelized onions by adding 2 Tbsp Green Chile Infused Olive Oil to the pan and once shimmering add the onions. Cook for 45-60 minutes stirring occasionally carefully not to let the onions brown. Set aside.
  2. To make the fries, preheat the oven to 425F. Wash potatoes and peel the skin if desired. Cut potatoes into ½ in strips. Toss potatoes with Green Chile Infused Olive Oil and Sweet Smoked Chili Rub & Seasoning. Roast potatoes for 25 minutes turning the fries halfway through. Finish fries with Chili Verde Flake Sea Salt and lime juice.
  3. In a large bowl add beef, egg, tomato paste, worcestershire sauce, Sweet Smoked Chili Rub & Seasoning, and Chili Verde Flake Sea Salt. Mix until combined. Form into desired size patties.
  4. Heat a large cast iron skillet over medium heat. Brush the inside of the burger buns with 1-2 tsps of Green Chile Infused Olive Oil and toast until golden brown 2-3 minutes. Set aside.
  5. Increase the heat to medium high and add 2 Tbsp Green Chile Infused Olive Oil over medium high heat. Add burgers and cook 4-5 minutes on the first side or until meat is caramelized, then flip the burger and add the cheese on top and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  6. Assemble the burger by placing butter lettuce, then your burger patty, caramelized onions, and 1-2 tbsp Red Pepper Jam.
